ICF Quebec commits to DEI... with you?par Julie Gouin PCC, Marthe Rocheteau PCC
In a recent communications, the Chair of ICF Quebec’s Board of Directors announced the creation of a new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and it is with great pleasure that we have signed-on to serve as co-leaders.
Within this committee, we aspire to act and be recognized as allies, that is, as people committed to...
- proposing courageous measures to create inclusive environments,
- continuous learning,
- co-creating a more equitable and just world with those whose voices have been historically underrepresented.
This is an opportunity for us to lay important milestones towards this cultural and societal change. First item on the agenda: defining the mission and vision of the committee for the Quebec chapter in line with ICF’s Diversity Focus. The integration of the English Activities Committee under the umbrella of the DEI committee will also be a priority.
Already, the new DEI committee has four other members who have wholeheartedly accepted this volunteer commitment:
- Jimena Andino Dorato: relay member from ICF’s Global Diversity Council.
- David Carey, Administrator and Chair of the English Activities Committee.
- Carol Bruno, Member of the English Activities Committee.
- Suzanne Delisle, Treasurer on the Board of Directors.
And we need you, who feel concerned, who want to contribute step by step to a coaching community committed to a more diverse, equitable and inclusive society.
