Powerful Perspectives on Accountability

The 11th core coaching competency is about managing progress and accountability. Our colleague, and Past President of ICF Québec, Richard La Rue, will lead an open conversation on the issue of accountability. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas on the concept, it’s mechanism, and how it helps the coachee to move forward. What does being accountable really mean? What are the deeper roots of accountability? What are your beliefs on accountability and how do your beliefs impact your coachee’s ability to deliver on his/her promises? How do you co-create an alliance with your coachee on accountability? What conversation are you having with your coachees on the subject of accountability? What are the limits of your responsibility as a coach? What powerful questions do you ask your coachee in order to make her/him accountable? What are your blind spots on accountability? What are the consequences of not holding your coachee accountable on his actions?

Richard asks that each of you come prepared to share your unique perspectives on the topic with the group.
