"A World of Possibilities": How to Leverage Diversity to Improve Your Coaching Practice
It takes seven seconds to create a first impression of someone. Actually, research has shown that this window might actually be much narrower: one-tenth of a second. As professional Coaches, we need to identify our biases if we are to overcome them – and perhaps even use them to make our questioning more powerful.
What are your biases? What are your coachee’s biases? How do these affect your comprehension of a situation?
This interactive session will help reveal your biases (to yourself!) and explore concrete strategies to unblock situations that may be clouded by cultural or generational differences. You will also explore, from your own cultural standpoint, how you react to authority, how you perceive failure, and how diversity can be leveraged in your coaching practice.

Julie Nadon, ACC, Coach, Facilitator and Specialist in Diversity and Behavioral Agility
Passionate and intrigued by human relations, Julie has been contributing to the professional development and “wow” factor of individuals for over a decade. She proposes that people’s differences (intergenerational, ethno cultural, multidisciplinary) be used as leverage for team performance rather than as obstacles. Through behavioral agility, coaching and team training, she develops unique and high-impact interventions that enable each and every person to assume their leadership role and measure their impact in the work environment.
