English Activities Committee: Virtual Breakfastpar David Carey, ACC
For many organizations and individuals the COVID-19 crisis has drastically altered the way we do business and conduct our personal lives. In less than a month we have moved from total freedom to go and do what we want, to self-imposed quarantines and social distancing restrictions necessitating 25 minute line-ups for groceries and a major shift towards virtual platforms for everything from religious services to birthday parties.
In order to continue to provide support to coaches and those interested in the coaching profession the English Activities Committee recently made the decision to join the growing trend. We decided for the duration of the crisis to offer our popular coaches breakfast series in a virtual format through Zoom. We feel that this will permit us to maintain connection, continue our high quality programming and provide support through these trying times. What’s more, in a spirit of solidarity, for the duration of the COVID-19 crisis we are offering this service completely free.
Although we began this new initiative with some uncertainty, the numbers of registrations we have received for our first virtual breakfast are encouraging and we take this as a confirmation we are on the right track.
We are pleased to be able to continue to provide this service during these trying times and we are proud to stand beside (with an appropriate 2 meters of separation J) so many other groups who are finding creative ways to break isolation, support communities, and normalise daily life.
We invite you to pour yourself a coffee, make yourself some breakfast, start up your computer and join us for breakfast!
Check the activities calendar on the ICF Quebec website to register. We look forward to seeing you soon.
