So much has happened since our last newsletter. The world as we knew it has changed and our daily lives are in turmoil. We are challenged as individuals and as coaches as we experiment side by side with our clients, the same unknowns, concerns, losses but also opportunities. At the time of writing this, I came across a quote from Henry Mintzberg which I found very appropriate: “Organizations are communities of human beings, not collections of human resources”.

Through the chaos brought upon us by Covid-19, most of us find ourselves in confinement and possibly so for a while. Physical isolation may be needed but collectively we still need to connect. To that end, ICF International has added to its website several opportunities to obtain information, resources and ways to stay connected. As members, you have probably already received this information but in case you missed it, here it is again: coachfederation.org/wecare. We invite you to visit the site and see how it can assist you and your clients in navigating this storm.

Cancelled events:
Now and for the foreseeable future, all in-person events facilitated by ICF Quebec are cancelled. Those occurring online are maintained. You must know though that events offered by our members or our partners, even though published on our site, are managed by the members or partners. We strongly encourage you to contact them before planning to attend the event.
We know that part of being a coach is to be present for our clients. We show up for them. I would like to suggest that we be present for one another and more particularly be present to ourselves. Change brings opportunities if we are willing to see them. True for your clients and true for yourself.
