We have chosen to compensate our CO2eq emissions with Planetair's Nature Program aimed at conserving natural areas. We have thus obtained the “carbon neutral event” certification.
Our partner LCL Environnement advised us to take this route, as reforestation and tree planting are increasingly being taken on by municipalities at a time when natural areas are shrinking. Our compensation totals 17 tons.
WHO IS PLANETAIR?
Planetair is a climate program launched by the Unisféra International Center, an NGO founded in 2002 and based in Montreal. Unisféra/Planetair's mission is to promote sustainable development and contribute to the fight against climate change. Their objectives are to raise awareness among citizens and organizations about climate change and the need for carbon offsetting efforts to be real and not just symbolic. They want to have a concrete positive climate impact and offer real carbon credits, while supporting local climate projects. They have built their enviable reputation on the quality of their products and services. They wish to share this reputation with their customers and contributors by continuing to offer real credits with quantified and verified climate benefits under internationally recognized standards and protocols. The climate situation is such that we cannot afford to compromise.

NEXT STEPS:
The 2025 organizing committee held its post-mortem meeting on June 13 and will meet with various internal partners (partnership and communications committees, board of directors) and external partners (Resto avec plaisir caterer, technician, UdeS representative, etc.) to make recommendations for the 2026 event.
The dates for the 2026 conference will be announced very soon. It will be in the fall, possibly towards the end of October.
Interested in joining the conference team? Send us a letter expressing your interest and motivations, along with a copy of your resume, to
Propose a workshop for 2026: Do you have a tool or approach to share? Start thinking about it! Your workshop proposals will help the committee put together a varied and interesting program. The formal call for workshop proposals (in French and English), with instructions on how to submit, will be sent out in spring 2026. We look forward to hearing from you.
We would like to once again express our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the festival, whether directly or indirectly, to the staff, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and to you, our members, for your participation and trust.
Together, let's continue to co-create a future rooted in humanity.
Thank you and see you next year!
