The Power of Metaphors in Coaching
When a conversation does not suffice to shed light on a situation, metaphors often can. Why? Metaphors can create images in our mind that tap into our creativity helping us unlock potential we may not have known we had. It gives us access to a new language of interpretation. As a coach, how can we help our clients access this language? And how to know when it is appropriate to do so, or not? Although a good dose of intuition will help, using metaphors is a skill that can be learned. Share your best metaphors with us and tell us why they were effective!
